The Stats Are In
Jaron had his 12 month check-up yesterday and everything looks good with our one year old. He is down to the 50th percentile in height, at 29 1/2 inches. I am not quite sure of his weight though. The nurse weighed him and the scale (a new scale at the office) read 23 lbs. 14 oz. But then the doctor told us that he was 24 lbs. 14 oz. which would put him in the 75th percentile for weight. So we just figured that maybe the scale read a pound below the actual weight. But then I was at home reading a form they gave us and written on the top it said that his weight was 23 lbs. 14 oz. So now I am confused. If he is indeed 23 lbs. 14 oz, then he lost weight since his 9 month checkup where he was 24 lbs. 5 oz. It seems strange to me that he would be losing weight at his age. But of course we were not able to talk to the doctor about it because he thought that he had gained weight. He is still a big boy, though, so I guess there isn't anything to worry about yet.
