Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints

Rudy Schmidt has gone to be with the Lord. You know that there is great rejoicing in heaven right now as God's faithful servant has gone home. And how wonderful it must be for Mr. Schmidt as He finally stands in the presence of His Father, whom he has loved and served so faithfully on this earth. But he will definitely be missed by his wife, family, and so many others whose lives he has touched. May God receive the glory even in the midst of death. Pray for Mrs. Schmidt as she has lost her dear husband.

The funeral is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at New City Fellowship. I'll give more details as I receive them.

A few years back when Promise Keepers was such a big thing, I was going with the church and someone asked Mrs. Schmidt of Rudy was going. She said he didn't need to... he was already a promise keeper.

Hey L.,
Thanks for the update on Rudy. I was surfing the net trying to find out info and i found your blog spot. Amazing to see the beautiful gift that the Lord has given the both of you. Amy and I are expecting a son to come any day now. Amy is due on the 30th of this month. It was a beautiful thing to see on a very sad day for me. Blessings to you and Ben and the little one,

Hey Keith! Great to hear from you. Congrats on your soon-to-be-born little one! Yes, this is a very sad day, but how wonderful it is to still experience God's goodness and blessings in our lives. His mercies are new EVERY morning, even on such a day as this...

Laini,
Do you and Ben still live in Chatt town? I remember when you guys first started dating. Are you still working at the church? anyway, it was really cool to see your guys building a family.
And yes the joy is new in the morning...and it is made new in the mourning...
Blessings,
keith
