Christmastime is Here
I have been listening to non-stop Christmas music for the past few weeks. I am glad that there is only two days left of listening to it! I purposely overdose on Christmas tunes so that when the radio stops playing the songs and it is time to put the CDs away, I am not sad to say goodbye. Plus, it helps me to get in the Christmas mood. I look forward to Christmas day when we will be able to go to church and sing worship songs in rememberance of the birth of our Savior.
I am officially done with Christmas shopping. I hope to not step foot in another store until after Christmas. I bought my last present this morning. Actually, that is not entirely true. I have not bought presents for Ben's side of the family, but we don't celebrate Christmas with them until sometime after Christmas. So I can get their presents later. That is what after-Christmas sales are for! Yes, I am a sucker for a good deal.
I am looking forward to Christmas with Jaron. Now that he is older, it should be a lot more fun for him to open presents and actually ENJOY them, instead of just chewing on the paper! He has done really well with not messing with the tree or the presents under the tree. I am thankful for that. I had envisioned broken ornaments everywhere and half opened presents. But he has been a big boy and hardly even notices that the tree is there. Sure makes my life a whole lot easier.
Merry Christmas everyone!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
This weekend we went Christmas tree shopping. Yes, we are one of what seems like the few out there that still buys a live tree. There is just something about going out and picking out a new tree each year, and having the fresh tree smell in the house, that makes having a live tree special. Plus, when Christmas is over, all we have to do is throw it outside! Talk about convenience! Anyways, we went out on Saturday to get our tree. It was pouring rain all morning and we were worried that we wouldn't be able to get our tree. But once the rain stopped, we decided to run out and hope that it didn't start raining on us while we were out. Thankfully, it didn't, and we were able to pick out a tree fairly quickly (probably because it was so cold) and headed home to decorate.

Jaron helped to put ornaments (the non-breakables) on the tree, which he didn't do with much success, but he had fun trying. Now we have the fun time of getting him to not touch the ornaments anymore now that they are on the tree.
Yesterday, we took some pictures with all the Huffine cousins. What a funny bunch! Notice Jacob, who just joined the crew a little over a week ago.
